On Monday, a group comprising 16 tourists hailing from Delhi, Maharashtra, Orissa, Gujarat, and other states successfully concluded the inaugural trip for Adi Kailash and Om Parvat worship. This journey was facilitated through a helicopter package introduced by the Uttarakhand Tourism Department.
The primary objective of this initiative is to bolster Winter Tourism in the Himalayan region as part of the Vibrant Village program, while simultaneously generating employment opportunities for local residents, as per an official press release.
The tourism department lauded the completion of this inaugural trip as a groundbreaking endeavor aimed at fostering tourism in the state’s remote areas, thereby fostering employment for local communities. The department emphasized that through this innovative tourism offering, the state aims to promote ‘High-Value Low Volume’ tourism in the region, in alignment with the Government of India’s Vibrant Village Program (VVP), according to the press release.
